Many of us love our fur babies like a member of the family. Its important to most of us how well our pets will be treated while we’re away. I’ve compiled a list of the best places for mans best friend around Lake Hopatcong. Three very different options, but also highly recommend.
Kennels, Boarding & Stay at Home
It can be hard to board a pet that’s use to sleeping on your bed every night. I know, as my 70 lb German Shepard, Morgan loves our bed. So when away on vacation or business, its important to our family that’s she happy and well taking care of.
Canine Country Club of the lake

stay-cation with her new friend at the Canine Country Club
Canine Country Club of the Lake offers Doggie Daycare and Overnight Stays. The facility features 5000 square-feet outdoor space and 5800 indoor. Bring you pups favorite toys, food, treats and bed (or they’ll supply a bed). My favorite part is that they post pictures daily of all they’re furry customers. Check out their website CCC of the Lake I would recommend using them and I think Morgan would too. Important to know is that there is always someone on staff so the pets are never left completely alone.
Dawg House
The Dawg House offers doggie daycare as well as overnight stays. I found it super cool that this is a cage free facility. You’ll want to schedule a time prior to boarding so your pet can do a meet and greet. This is to ensure they are not aggressive and can play nice with others. All the boards and daycare dogs are free to roam inside or outside in the fenced in facility. You can ask that your pet spend the day in one of private rooms or they can enjoy a group play session. Overnight boarders are monitored 24/7. They are highly recommended and I just love the concept. For more information on the Dawg House, they are overly friendly and helpful.
NJ Pet Sitting
NJ Pet Sitting is a great alternative to boarding your pet. I love this too. Many pets just like being home, in their favorite spot where they are use to. A meet and greet is required so your fur baby gets to know who is entering the house and that they’re comfortable together. Each visit is 30 minutes and a schedule will be designed to keep your pet happy while you’re away. For more information check them out here NJ Pet Sitting
Home is where my dog is!

These are the ones I find customers (man and mans best friend) are most happy with around the lake. I love the creative names and am loving the doggie daycare. Its amazing for working humans who work long hours. Having an over active pet can be exhausting after a long day of work. Also, another option to daycare is a nanny (dog walker). It is our responsibility to our pets, that they are not left all day or for long hours. Please be responsible with our loyal creatures that need us so much.
Enjoy you’re vacation and allow you pet to enjoy theirs too.
As always. See you at the lake,
Aimee
